Both, the erythropoietin mimetic peptide and the thrombopoietin mimetic peptide are products of high relevance in hematologic and oncologic indications. Thus, oncology is the natural focus of AplaGen. There, relevance for major indications and substantial superiority of AplaGen´s mimetic peptide concept will be demonstrated. Development will be pursued by AplaGen until at least advanced clinical stage. Indications which are not hematologic or oncologic, e.g. the renal applications of the EPO-mimetic peptide, will be outlicensed as early as possible to strengthen the focus of AplaGen's own development efforts.
